Mark has 30 years’ experience working in the hearing arena. He sits on two Standards committees for hearing protection (PH/7) and hearing (EH/1) and co-authored the UKHCA guide to selecting hearing protection.
He first qualified as a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser in 1994, subsequently working for a major hearing aid retailer followed by a leading manufacturer before setting up his own private practice as an independent. He completed a Post Grad Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control in 2005. In 2012 he moved away from front line clinical care of those with hearing impairment to work on ideas designed to help people protect their hearing.
With the aim of improving access to hearing care Mark first designed and patented a software driven, tablet based audiometer in 2014 which was licensed to a major High street hearing aid retailer. It is fully accredited and registered with MHRA as a medical device.
In 2020 he completed work on developing the fit test product which has been scientifically validated by a leading Professor of Acoustics. He believes H4TLT is the best choice for employers to add value to their hearing conservation programmes.
